When you receive your GLP-1 medication, please review your instructions before starting.

Important steps:

  • Verify the medication and dose match what was prescribed.

  • Refrigerate your medication upon arrival.
GLP-1 injections should be stored in the refrigerator unless your instructions say otherwise.

  • Review how to prepare for your first dose before taking your medication.

Understanding Your Dose (Using a 1 mL Insulin Syringe)

GLP-1 medications are drawn up using a 1 mL (U-100) insulin syringe. These syringes are marked in units, which measure volume, not medication strength.

  • A 1 mL syringe = 100 units

  • Each small line = 1 unit

  • Units tell you how much liquid to draw up, based on your prescription

👉 Always follow the exact unit amount listed in your instructions.
👉 Do NOT adjust your dose unless directed by your care team.

You can find full instructions in the 'Document Center' in your portal.

If anything looks incorrect or you have questions about storage, dosing, or syringe markings, please contact your care team before taking your medication.
