How do I create a Contributor Role in Yoho?

Contributor Roles define the exact permissions each contributor has, like whether they can create ideas or edit assignments.

Updated over 3 months ago

Once you’ve labeled your collaborators with Contributor Types, you’ll want to define their Contributor Roles, which control exactly what they can view or edit inside Yoho.

This lets you safely bring in freelancers, partners, or content creators with just the right level of access.

To create a new Contributor Role:

  1. Go to Settings > Creative Central > Contributor Role

  2. Click the “+” Add Contributor Role button

  3. Enter a Role Name (e.g., Freelance Designer, Client Reviewer)

  4. Use the permissions list to select what this role can do:

    • Access the Planner

    • View or create Ideas

    • Edit or assign Assignments

    • And more, all granularly defined

  5. Click Save

You’ll now be able to assign this role when adding a new contributor to your team.

Haven’t created Contributor Types yet? You’ll need one first. Set up a Contributor Type.
