Assign contributors to keep everyone aligned

In Yoho, calendar items like product launches, social posts, or campaigns are often linked to contributors who bring them to life - writers, designers, marketers, and freelancers.

While the calendar itself is where you schedule what's happening, contributors are the people doing the actual work behind it. You connect them through linked Assignments.

How to assign contributors to a calendar item

  1. Create your calendar item on the Plan page
Choose a category (like Event or Social Media), set a type, and fill in the details

  2. Create an Assignment for the contributor’s task
    Go to Create > Assignments
Add a title, deadline, and description of what needs to be done

  3. Link the calendar item and the assignment

    • Include the calendar event title or link in the assignment description

    • Or use the External Project Link field in the calendar to point to the Assignment or related doc

  4. Add your contributor to the assignment
Choose a team member or freelancer from your Contributor list

🧩 Why this matters

This structure keeps the calendar clean and focused while ensuring each task is clearly owned:

  • The Planner = What’s happening & when

  • The Assignment = Who’s doing it & what they need to do

  • The Contributor = The person responsible for delivery

💡 Pro Tip: Use Contributor Roles to control what each person can access. For example, clients may only view calendar items while designers can upload assets and submit work.
