How do I plan a marketing campaign using the calendar?

Use the Planner to schedule campaigns, product drops, sales campaigns, and marketing events across your team.

Updated over 3 months ago

Yoho’s Calendar is the central place to plan out your entire marketing workflow, from major campaigns and product launches to day-to-day content. It keeps everyone aligned and working toward the same deadlines.

Step 1: Open the Calendar

Go to the Plan tab in the left-hand menu.
You’ll land on a monthly view of your campaign schedule.

Use the tabs to switch between:

  • Calendar - your master marketing view

  • List - a compact, sortable format

  • Daily View - zoom into specific days

Step 2: Add a new campaign item

Click the red icon to create a new calendar item.

You’ll go through 3 simple steps:

  1. Choose a Category:

    • Events: for launches, promos, sales, and photoshoots

    • Social Media: for posts, reels, and stories

    • Outbound: for emails and other external sends

  2. Pick a Type:
Based on the category, e.g. “Reel,” “Photoshoot,” “Email Blast.”

  3. Fill in Info:
Add campaign name, due date(s), tags, and any notes.

Step 3: Link to creative work

Once your calendar item is created, head to the Create → Ideas tab to start building campaign content.

  • Create an Idea for future campaigns or ongoing tasks

  • Turn that idea into an Assignment for your creative team.

  • Contributors can view and complete their assignments, while everything stays tied back to the original campaign plan.

📝 Tip: All ideas and assignments inherit the event context you set during idea creation, so the campaign timeline stays connected without needing extra tagging.

Step 4: Track and adjust

As work progresses, use the calendar to:

  • Filter by status, platform, or event type

  • Check assignment progress at a glance

  • Adjust timelines with quick edits

📝 Tip: Use tags to organize campaigns by theme, channel, or priority when you are creating ideas or assignments.
