How do I assign creative tasks and manage deadlines?

Create and assign creative tasks in Yoho, set due dates, and manage contributor progress through every campaign.

Updated over 3 months ago

Step 1: Open the Assignments section

Go to Create → Assignments in the sidebar.
This is where you’ll manage all creative tasks across your team.

You’ll see:

  • Contributor name and task title

  • Task status (Unstarted, In Progress, Submitted)

  • Posted and due dates

  • Linked campaign or event (if applicable)

Use the filters at the top to sort by team, status, date, or event type.

Step 2: Create a new assignment

Click the red button in the top right.

The assignment builder has four stages:

1- Details

  • Add a title

  • Select the requester (person asking for the work)

  • Choose an assignment type (based on your workflow)

  • Set notice date (optional) and due date

2- Additions

Include links, files, references, or instructions to give your contributor context.

3- Deliverables

List what’s expected, e.g., video format, dimensions, number of edits.

4- Assignments

  • Choose your contributor

  • Confirm or adjust their deadline

  • Click Next to finalize the task

The assignment will appear on their dashboard and update as they work.

Step 3: Monitor task progress

As contributors work, they’ll update the status:

  • Unstarted: Task is assigned but untouched

  • In Progress: Work has begun

  • Submitted: Deliverables are uploaded

  • Pending Review / Revision Requested: You can track review stages here

You can view all this from the Assignments screen or your Dashboard.

Tip: Start from an idea

You can also create assignments directly from the Ideas tab.
This links tasks back to your campaign and keeps creative work neatly connected.
