What are approval statuses, and how do I use them?

Use approval statuses in Yoho to manage which assets are ready to publish, need changes, or have been declined.

Updated over 3 months ago

Approval statuses in Yoho help your team review creative work and clearly signal what’s usable without the back-and-forth. Each asset and assignment moves through review stages so everyone stays aligned on what’s approved for launch.

The 4 approval statuses

Every creative asset submitted through Yoho has one of these statuses:

Status

Meaning

Submitted

The contributor uploaded the asset - ready for review

Approved

The asset meets your standards and is cleared for publishing

Revision Needed

Reviewer requested edits; contributor will need to resubmit

Declined

The asset won’t be used; no further action required

You’ll see these statuses in both the Assignments section and the Library view.

How to set or change approval status

  1. Go to the asset or assignment you want to review

  2. Click on the status dropdown (or "Request Revision" button)

  3. Choose the correct status and leave a comment if needed

Yoho automatically updates the contributor and adjusts the asset's visibility in the Library based on its status.

Using statuses to manage workflow

  • Submitted → Approved: Ready to publish or schedule

  • Submitted → Revision Needed: Goes back to the contributor with your notes

  • Revision Needed → Submitted: Contributor resubmits after changes

  • Approved → Declined (optional): If priorities shift or creative is no longer relevant

These updates appear on dashboards and keep your creative pipeline moving without manual follow-ups.

💡 Tip: Filter the Library by status to see only "Approved" assets when launching ads or sharing content.
