Troubleshooting 2-step Verification Code Issues

If you're not receiving your verification code, follow these steps to resolve the issue:


Verify Your Information šŸ“±

Ensure the phone number or email address you entered matches the one associated with your account.


Check Spam/Junk Folder šŸ“§

Sometimes verification codes are mistakenly sent to your spam or junk folder.


Request a New Code šŸ”„

If you haven’t received the code, try requesting a new one.


Try a Different Phone Number or Email šŸ”¢

If the issue persists, attempt verifying with another phone number or email address.


Check Phone Settings āš™ļø

Ensure your phone isn’t in airplane mode or "Do Not Disturb" mode, as this can block messages.


Confirm Signal and Network šŸ“¶

Make sure you have a strong signal and a stable internet connection.


Review Messaging App Settings šŸ’¬

If you're using a messaging app, check that it isn’t experiencing any issues or errors.


Clear App Cache 🧹

Try clearing the cache of your messaging app to resolve delivery issues. You can do this by offloading your messaging app.

  1. Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage

  2. Scroll down & select your messaging app (e.g., Messenger) from the list

  3. Tap ā€˜Offload App’ and confirm

  4. After offloading, tap ā€˜Reinstall App’ to download it again, which will clear the cache while keeping your data

ā­ļø NB: Offload the app instead of deleting it to ensure that none of your data is lost

šŸ“² On Android:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps

  2. Select your messaging app from the list

  3. Tap ā€˜Storage & Cache’, and then select ā€˜Clear cache’


Check Mobile Contract Settings šŸ“œ

Ensure your mobile contract allows you to receive text messages and other verification methods.


Consider Alternative Verification Methods šŸ“ž

If SMS isn't working, try alternative methods like phone calls or Google prompts.
