Paid Collaborations: How it works (brands)

Updated this week

Work with larger creators (30k+ followers) on a paid basis. Review all content before it goes live, request unlimited revisions, and get 12 weeks of paid usage rights included with every booking.

Paid collaborations are invite-only. To get started, speak to your account manager or get in touch at support@joliapp.com.

1. Share your goals and budget

Tell us what you're looking for and give us a rough guide on budget. We'll come back with a shortlist of creators and fees for you to choose from.

If you'd like help structuring your campaign, we can jump on a call to work through it together.

2. We handle outreach

Once you've picked your creators, Joli reaches out and negotiates fees on your behalf.

3. Creators apply through Joli

When a creator accepts, they apply through the usual Joli process after looking at the clear deliverables, creative direction and deadlines. You'll see the booking in your dashboard alongside your gifted bookings.

4. Chat directly with your creator

Because it's a paid collaboration, you get live chat with your creator to finalise logistics like:

  • Date and time of the shoot

  • Any last-minute details (e.g. changes to menu, lighting, who to ask for)

5. Review and approve content

After the shoot, the creator uploads all deliverables directly to your dashboard. Nothing gets posted until you say so.

You can:

  • Preview all videos and images

  • Leave timestamped comments for feedback

  • Request revisions (no limit on rounds)

Feedback is sent directly to the creator so they can adjust as needed.

6. Approve when you're happy

Once the content hits the mark, hit Approve. The creator posts, the brief wraps up, and payment is only released once they post.

You'll always have access to:

  • The full set of approved content

  • Performance stats (if used in campaigns)

  • A complete content history for your brand

Paid usage rights

Every paid collaboration includes 12 weeks of paid usage rights as part of the creator fee and agreement. This means you can use the content in paid social media ads across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and any other platform.

The 12-week licence starts from whichever comes first:

  • The date the creator posts the content, or

  • 7 days after you approve the content in the app

After 12 weeks, the licence expires automatically. If you'd like to extend usage, speak to your account manager.
