Welcome, Creator! 👋
We're thrilled that you’re taking the time to learn what it takes to stand out on Joli. 💓
To ensure that your content shines and meets the high-quality standards our Brands expect, we've put together a short guide. This will help you meet their expectations and get the green light from our review team. 🚦
First Things First: Watch Our Video Guide 🎥
TLDR; What Brands Love to See - Content Best Practices ✅
TLDR; What Brands Love to See - Content Best Practices ✅
Bright, even lighting: Lighting can make or break your visuals. Avoid dim setups and flickering lights - instead, use lighting that highlights what you’re showcasing. Good light makes your photo or video feel more inviting and professional. Use phone flash or an external light source if needed.
Steady, clear footage: Make sure your clean your lens and keep your shots steady & bright for that crisp, clear look.
Capture the vibe: Showcase the space looking its best - aim for bright, airy shots that highlight the atmosphere & feel inviting.
Be uniquely you: Your personality is your superpower - let it shine through in your content by showing your face and voice! Any brand can put b-roll content together, what makes the content unique is you. ✨
📹 A Quick Note on Reels
📹 A Quick Note on Reels
Most of our Brands lean towards Reels when reviewing creators, as this is the type of content they most commonly request in exchange for collaborations. While image posts carousels are still valuable (and some Brands do ask for them), videos are generally preferred across the platform.
Because of this, Reels are also the main type of content we look at when reviewing creator accounts to join Joli. Brands love creators who can capture atmosphere, personality, food, experiences, and storytelling through short-form video content. ✨
For TikTok specifically, we strongly prefer live video content rather than slideshow-style posts made up of static images. Dynamic, real-time footage tends to perform better with Brands and creates a more engaging viewing experience for audiences.
Need inspiration? Our Instagram page is a great example of the kind of content Brands love to see and the overall quality we encourage across the Joli community. ❤️
What to Avoid (Learnt From Experience) ❌
What to Avoid (Learnt From Experience) ❌
Avoid shadows: Keep your frame free of unwanted shadows - they can distract from your shot & reduce its overall quality. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference, and is a common pitfall noted by our creators
No shaky or blurry footage: Don't let a blurry/shaky clip sneak in & detract from the overall quality of the content.
Steer clear of dark areas: Dark and gloomy shots can make your content less appealing to brands. Don't be afraid to ask to film in better lit areas.
Clutter-free zone: A messy table with used napkins, empty drinks or various menus can be distracting. Keep a clear focus with intentional framing and keep things neat and tidy.
Single brand footage: Keep the content aligned to the campaign description make sure you mention the brand in the video and within text overlays.

🙌 A small, flexible tripod (like this one) - capture shots from varying angles without the need for a second pair of hands if you're on your own shooting content.
Consistency Matters: How to Unlock Premium Collabs ⭐️
Brands love working with Creators who are reliable, organised, and consistent. To help us prioritise the best opportunities for our most dependable Creators, we'll be looking closely at attendance, communication, and content delivery.
Creators with strong reliability records will be prioritised for premium collaborations, including paid campaigns and UGC opportunities. This means:
✅ 80–90%+ attendance rate — regularly attending confirmed collaborations.
✅ No no-shows — always showing up when you’ve committed to a campaign.
✅ No late cancellations — giving plenty of notice if something genuinely comes up.
✅ Minimal reschedules — keeping campaign dates as agreed wherever possible.
✅ Required content uploaded on time — submitting your content by the deadline so Brands can review it smoothly.
Being consistent helps build trust with Brands and shows that you’re someone they can confidently collaborate with again and again. The more reliable you are, the more likely you are to be considered for our top-tier opportunities 💫
What happens if you no-show? ⚠️
We know plans can occasionally fall through, but no-showing to a confirmed collaboration without notice affects Brands' trust in our community, so we do track this closely.
If you accumulate 3 no-shows within a 90-day period, your account will move into Limited Account status. While your account is limited, you'll only be able to apply for one booking at a time, giving you the chance to rebuild your reliability record before taking on more.
If a further no-show occurs while your account is in Limited status, your account will be fully frozen and you won't be able to apply for new collaborations.
To avoid this, please let us know as early as possible and within at least 24 hours if you can no longer attend a confirmed collab. A heads-up is always better than not showing up.
If your account has been restricted and you'd like to understand your options for regaining access, just reach out to the team at support@joliapp.com and we'll talk you through it.
By following these guidelines, you’re not just aligning with brand expectations, you’re tapping into the proven practices that have helped our creator community succeed.
💪 Your creativity, combined with these insights, will continue to raise the bar for quality on Joli.
