When you choose subscript, a predefined baseline shift value and type size are applied to the selected text. The subscript text is below the normal line of type. Follow the steps below to apply subscript:

1. Double-click on the text frame to open the Text editing toolbar.

2. Select the part of the text, and then click Subscript to position the selected text half a character below the normal line.

Note: If you don’t select any text, the setting applies to the new text you write in the same text frame.
