🎯 This article is for learners requesting a refund at the beginning of their subscription. If you were searching for steps on how to cancel the renewal of your subscription, see here.

We're so sorry to see you go 😞 If you've been experiencing a problem with the app, we'd be happy to look into it and help troubleshoot 🙏

If you'd still like a refund, the steps might be a little different depending on how you purchased your subscription. Our support team can also check if we can offer any refund, either full or partial (for the unused portion of your subscription).

In case you ever decide to come back to learning piano, your progress will be saved on your account so you can pick up right where you left off 🎶

⚠️ Requesting a refund will also cancel your subscription, which means you'll lose Premium access once the refund is granted. ⚠️

Apple (App Store) purchase 🍏

Our team would love to help you process a refund directly, but Apple doesn't allow app companies to manage your subscription or process refunds on our own for you. But don’t worry, you can request a refund from Apple with just a few quick steps 😉

  1. Go to Apple's problem reports page: http://reportaproblem.apple.com/

  2. Log in with your Apple ID username (typically your email address) and password

  3. Tap or click "I'd like to"

  4. Choose "Request a refund"

  5. Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose Next

  6. Choose Simply Piano, then choose Submit. Apple will review your refund request and respond within 2 days.

You can also speak directly with Apple Customer Support.

Refund requests typically take Apple 24-48 hours to review and approve, with refunds taking several additional business days to appear in the original payment method. Heads up: Apple's usual refund window is 30 to 60 days from the date of the original charge.

Android (Google Play) purchase 🤖

You can request a refund from Google Play with just a few quick steps 🙃

  1. Tap your avatar in the top-right corner > check you’re logged in with the correct account

  2. Press "Continue" > then "Confirm"

  3. Select your Simply Piano purchase > tap "Continue"

  4. Select a reason for the refund > tap "Continue"

  5. Describe the reason in more detail > tap "Request refund"

Payments made through the Google Play Store are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. You can also reach out to our team through the in-app chat or by email if you'd like any help with this.

Credit card or PayPal purchase 💳

If you'd like a refund for your credit/debit card or PayPal purchase, please reach out to our team through the app by tapping Menu > Settings > Have a Question? and we'll look into that for you.

Payments made by credit/debit card or PayPal are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

Refund Processing

  • Refunds typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days, although processing times can vary.

  • If your refund doesn't display within the expected timeline, it might be due to delays in third-party approval or banking systems.

  • In cases of credit card payment reversals, the original charge may simply disappear from your statement, as if the transaction never occurred! Your bank or card issuer can verify this.

  • Once canceled and refunded, your premium access will end (although your progress will be saved incase you choose to resubscribe one day 😌)

Not sure how you paid or having trouble requesting a refund?

Just let us know! Our team can look up your account with the email registered in the app or the details on your receipt. Check out this article on how to find your Order ID if you purchased through Apple or Google Play.

Just reach out to us through the app or via email, and we'll take care of that no problem.
