Here are a few tips to make sure your MIDI connects with no problems.

Tip #1: Make sure you connect to MIDI before beginning a lesson. Note that our touch courses, Touch Intro and Keep in Touch, respond to the on-screen keyboard instead of your keyboard or MIDI. Switch to any of the other courses for MIDI to respond.

Tip #2: Make sure you use this adapter if you have a lightning port on your device. Other adapters often have trouble setting up a MIDI connection.

Tip #3: We haven't tried out every cable out there, but we have seen that this particular cable has mixed results, so we do not recommend it. If you did purchase it and you're getting inconsistent recognition, we recommend you exchange it for another one.

Tip #4: If you are using a MIDI cable, make sure the IN cable is connected to the OUT port and vice-versa.
