Understanding Comet’s Notification System
Comet provides real-time alerts to help you stay informed about key market events and trading activity. Several notifications are enabled by default. Visit your settings to turn on or off individual alerts to your liking.
Types of Notifications Available:
Alpha Alerts – Stay ahead with key market insights.
Snek.fun – Receive updates as tokens progress on the bonding curve.
Alerts for newly created or bonded tokens.
Customized notifications for milestones at 40%, 60%, and 80%.
Large Trades – Get notified of high value trades
Velocity Trading – Get alerts about large number of trades on individual tokens.
How to Enable or Disable Notifications in Comet
You can manage your notifications within the Comet app.
Steps to Adjust Notifications:
Open Comet and go to the Holdings page.
Tap the settings icon in the top right corner.
Tap on Notifications.
Use the toggle switches to enable or disable each notification type.
📌 Tip: Only some notifications are enabled by default when you sign up. If you are not receiving alerts, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Troubleshooting Notification Issues
If you’re not receiving push notifications from Comet, there are a few common troubleshooting steps you can follow, based on your device:
iOS
Confirm Notification Permissions:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Scroll down and tap Apps.
Scroll down and tap Comet.
Select Notifications.
Ensure Allow Notifications is turned On.
Choose your preferred notification style (Lock Screen, Notification Center, or Banners).
Focus or Do Not Disturb Modes:
Make sure your device is not in Do Not Disturb or Focus mode, which can silence notifications.
Restart Your Phone:
Sometimes restarting your iPhone can help resolve notification delivery issues.
Android
Confirm Notification Permissions:
Open the Settings app.
Go to Apps or App Management.
Locate and tap Comet.
Tap Notifications.
Make sure Allow Notifications is turned on and categories like "General" or "Trading Updates" are enabled.
Battery Optimization Settings:
Some Android devices restrict background app activity to save battery.
Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization (or similar) and ensure that Comet is not optimized, or is allowed to run in the background.
Clear App Cache (if necessary):
Go to Settings > Apps > Comet > Storage and tap Clear Cache.
If you’ve tried these steps and still aren’t receiving notifications, make sure your Comet app is updated to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
