With Judge.me, you can group products to share reviews between them. Reviews from products in the same group will appear on all product pages within that group. This is useful for displaying reviews across product variants, similar products, or updated versions.

When to use product groups

Product groups help you optimize review sharing in the following scenarios:

Product variants with separate listings: If you sell variations of the same product (e.g., different colors or sizes), each as a separate product, grouping them ensures customers see all relevant reviews in one place.
Similar products serving the same purpose: Items that perform the same function, such as different models of a remote-controlled car, can benefit from shared reviews to reinforce their quality and usability.
New version of the same product:
- If you replace older or seasonal items with new versions, grouping them allows you to retain and display past reviews for continued credibility.
- When launching an improved or rebranded version of an existing product, grouping ensures that valuable past reviews remain visible to potential buyers.
- If you need to delete the old product and create a new product page for that same product, you can group the deleted product and the old product to show your reviews in this new product.
Merged products: If you plan to merge separate products (e.g., different variants of a product) into a single product, product groups allow you to show reviews from the old products into this new merged product.

Considerations

Each product can only belong to 1 product group.
Out-of-stock products can still be added to a group.
After adding a product to a group, reviews may take at least 2 minutes to appear.
Each product group can include up to 10,000 products.
If you're adding products into the groups manually, the first 25 products update immediately. The rest of the products will update when a new review is received, published, or hidden.

To create a new product group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Manage Reviews > Products & Groups.
Click Add to group next to any product.
Click the + Create group button.
Enter a group name and click Create.

To add a product to a group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Manage Reviews > Products & Groups.
Find the product you want to group and click Add to group next to it.
Select the group you want to add the product to and click Add group.

For other e-commerce platforms

From the top navigation, choose Manage Reviews > Products & Groups.
Click the Manage Groups button on your top right.
Enter a group name, then click Add New Group.
Return to the Products section and start adding products to the new group.

To create a product group and link related products:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product review groups.
Find the product you want to group and click Add product group.
Click the + Create group button.
Enter a name for your group and click Create.

Once created, you can add more products to this group by repeating step 2.

To add a product to a group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product review groups.
Find the product you want to group and click Add product group.
Select an existing group from the dropdown.
Click Add group.

The product will now share reviews with all other products in the selected group.

Create product groups with automation

You can automate the process for bulk product grouping based on criteria like vendor, product type, or product tags. Automated groups update daily, automatically adding matching products.

Manage your product groups

Note: The group dropdown is currently not functional in Safari. Please use a different browser (such as Chrome) to manage your groups.

1. Change the name of your product groups

To change the name of any product group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Manage reviews > Products & groups
Click on a group for any product to open the Product group pop-up.
Click the 3-dot icon (...) next to the group you want to change the name of and click Rename group.
Adjust the name as you see fit and click Rename group.

To rename any product group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product Review Groups.
Click on a product to open the Product group pop-up.
Next to the group name you want to update, click the three-dot icon (⋯) and select Rename group.
Enter the new name and click Rename group to save your changes.

2. Delete a product group

If you no longer want to group reviews across multiple products, you can delete the product group.

Once deleted, reviews will return to being displayed individually on each product instead of being shared across the group.

To remove a current product group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Manage reviews > Products & groups
Click on a group for any product to open the Product group pop-up.
Click the 3-dot icon (...) next to the group you want to delete and click Delete group.

To delete a product group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Product Review Groups.
Click the group name next to any product to open the Product group pop-up.
Find the group you want to delete, click the three-dot icon (⋯) next to it, and select Delete group.
Confirm the deletion to remove the group.

3. Remove a product from a group

To remove a product from a group:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Manage reviews > Products & groups
Find the product you want to remove from the group and click on the group dropdown next to it to open the Product group pop-up.
Click Remove group.

To remove a product from a group:

Find the product you want to remove and click the group name next to it.
In the Product group pop-up, click Remove group.

4. Move a product to a new group

To move a product from 1 group to another:

From your Judge.me admin, go to Manage reviews > Products & groups
Find the product you want to move and click on the group dropdown next to it to open the Product group pop-up.
Select a new group and click Add group.
