Rewarding customers with coupons encourages more reviews and increases repeat purchases. With Judge.me, you can automatically generate and send coupons to customers who leave a review - helping boost engagement and loyalty.
How it works
Here’s what happens after you enable coupons:
Your customer leaves a review.
We wait 30 minutes to allow the customer some time to upload any media (photo/video) and confirm their review (if it was submitted on the web).
We check if the customer and their review qualify for a reward based on your settings. Reviews don’t need to be published to qualify.
If they meet all requirements, we automatically generate a unique coupon code for them. The coupon is sent to the customer via email.
The customer can then use the coupon on a qualified purchase in your store.

Troubleshoot
Why wasn’t a coupon generated for this review?
Why wasn’t a coupon generated for this review?
Issue:
A customer submitted a review, but you see that no coupon was generated for them.
Why it happens:
The coupon might not be generated for a review if:
Less than 30 minutes have passed since the review was submitted.
The review or customer didn’t meet your coupon conditions.
How to fix:
To check why a coupon wasn't generated for a review:
Check when the review was submitted. If it’s been less than 30 minutes, the coupon may still be processing. We have a 30-minute delay before generating coupons.
If more than 30 minutes have passed, check if the customer and their review qualify the requirements in your settings.
My customer said their coupon is not working
My customer said their coupon is not working
Issue:
A customer submitted a review and received a coupon code, but reports that the coupon doesn’t work at checkout.
Why it happens:
There are a few common reasons why a generated coupon may not work:
Coupon usage requirements
The order doesn’t meet the minimum requirements (e.g. order value or quantity).
The coupon is restricted to a specific customer (e.g. only usable by the reviewer).
The coupon was already used once, and your settings limit one-time use.
Coupon combinations
The customer is trying to use it with another discount that’s not allowed.
Coupon validity
The coupon has expired (based on the validity settings in your coupon campaign).
How to fix:
To check why a customer can't use a coupon:
First, find the coupon code the customer received: see how to find the coupon code.
Copy the Corresponding coupon on Shopify (the second of the 2 codes, which starts with
Judge.me Coupons). From your Shopify admin, go to Discounts.
Search for the code you copied and see if it's Active or Expired.
If Expired: it means the coupon code has already expired.
If Active: you can open the code and check the conditions of the coupon in the Details section in the right menu.
If needed, you can manually adjust the conditions of that generated coupon in Shopify to let the customer user it.
A customer is using multiple discounts in their order
A customer is using multiple discounts in their order
Judge.me coupons are generated per qualified review. For example, if a customer submits 2 qualified reviews, they will receive 2 separate coupons. By default, they may be able to apply both coupons in the same order.
While it’s not possible to change the “one coupon per review” generation rule, you can reduce the chance of multiple coupons being used together by:
Disabling the "Order discounts" combination option
Selecting a "Minimum order value" or "Minimum quantity of items" as one of your coupon usage requirements.
