5. Choose coupon combinations

To allow customers to use both a Judge.me coupon and a Shopify discount at the same time, you need to enable discount combination in both Shopify and Judge.me.

In your Shopify admin:

Judge.me coupons are treated as Order discounts in Shopify, so you need to combine non-Judge.me discounts (e.g., Shopify’s free shipping or product-specific discounts) with Order discounts.

  1. Go to your Shopify admin and click Discounts.

  2. Create a new discount or open an existing one.

  3. Scroll to the Combinations section

  4. Make sure Order discounts is selected.

  5. Save your changes.

In your Judge.me admin:

To allow Judge.me coupons to combine with specific types of Shopify discounts:

  1. Go to Marketing and Social > Coupons.

  2. Scroll to Requirement and eligibility > Combinations.

  3. Check the boxes for the discount types you want to allow stacking with:

    • Product discounts

    • Order discounts

    • Shipping discounts

  4. Click Save.

Note: Combining multiple discounts can significantly reduce cart value. We recommend testing different combinations to find a balance between customer incentive and profit margin.

6. Set coupon validity

To set the expiration of your coupon:

  1. From your Judge.me admin, go to Marketing and Social > Coupons.

  2. Scroll down to Validity.

  3. Select from these options

    • "This coupon never expires"

    • "This coupon expires after" a certain number of days. You can also enable "Send a reminder email before the coupon expires".

  4. Click Save.

External coupon codes

If you have coupon codes from other sources, simply add them under External Coupon Codes, and we’ll include them in Judge.me’s coupon emails to your reviewers. These external coupons will take priority over those generated by the reward conditions above. Learn more about how to use these coupons in this detailed article.

Step 5: Show discounts on the Reviews Collection Page and in Shopify Customer Accounts

When you enable review request emails, Judge.me automatically sets up a standalone Reviews Collection Page to collect reviews from customers who click the link in the email.

  • First, customers are prompted to leave a text review for the product.

  • Then, if you enable media uploads, customers can also add photos and videos.

  • If you've set different coupon tiers for text-only vs. photo/video reviews, Judge.me will display the corresponding discount value at each step.

In addition, the same discount information will be displayed when customers submit reviews through the Judge.me review form inside their Shopify Customer Accounts, as long as you've enabled Judge.me in Customer Accounts.

✅ If you set a 10% off for text review, reviewers can see this information when submitting review text.

✅ If you also set 15% off for a photo and 20% off for a video, reviewers can see this information when submitting review photos and videos.
