The Pop-up Reviews widget lets you display your top reviews as a small pop-up on the corner of your store pages. The pop-ups catch your store visitors’ attention, build trust with social proof, and encourage them to purchase the products.

How the Pop-up Reviews widget works
Once installed:
The Pop-up Reviews widget automatically shows up to 15 of your most recent published 5-star reviews as a small pop up on a corner of your store.
You can also select which 15 reviews to show in the pop-up.
Set up your Pop-up Reviews widget
To start using the Pop-up Reviews widget, follow these steps:
Choose which reviews appear in the pop-up:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets.
Scroll to the Pop-up Reviews card and click Customize.
In the Review selection section, choose one of the options from the table below and click Save.
Option | How it works |
Recent 5-star reviews | Automatically displays the 15 most recent published 5-star reviews from your store |
Recent reviews with pictures | Automatically displays the 15 most recent published 5-star reviews that include photos. If there are fewer than 15, the rest will be filled with recent 5-star reviews. |
Choose reviews manually | Lets you choose specific reviews to highlight in the pop-up.
After selecting this option, make sure to feature at least 1 review from the Reviews Dashboard.
To feature a review:
These featured reviews will also appear in the Reviews Carousel if you have set to "Choose reviews manually" for the carousel. |
Customize the Pop-up Reviews widget
To update the look and feel of the Pop-up Reviews widget:
From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Widgets.
Scroll to the Pop-up Reviews card and click Customize.
There, you can adjust the following elements:
1. Border style
To change the border style of the pop-up:
Scroll down to the Theme section.
Under Border style, select either "Square corners" or "Round corners".
Click Save.
2. Review details
To control how much details you want to show for each featured review in the pop-up:
Scroll down to the Design section.
Under Review details, enable some or all of the following options:
"Show review title"
"Show review body"
"Show reviewer name"
"Show product name"
Click Save.
3. Pictures
To set how images will appear in the Pop-up Reviews widget:
Scroll down to the Design section.
Under Pictures, select from these options:
"Disabled" to not show any photos in the pop-up
"Show product pictures" to show picture of the product
"Show review pictures if available" to show picture from the reviews if any
Click Save.
4. How and where the pop-up will appear
To select which pages you want the Pop-up Reviews widget to show:
Scroll down to the Display properties section.
Under Pages to display, enable some or all of the following options:
"Home page"
"Product pages"
"Collection pages"
"Cart page"
Click Save.
To customize where on the page the pop-up will show:
Scroll down to the Display properties section.
Under Widget position on desktop, choose from the following options:
"Bottom left"
"Bottom right"
"Top left"
"Top right"
Click Save.
To customize the pop-up behaviors:
Scroll down to the Display properties section.
In the Delay before first pop-up field, enter the number of seconds to wait before the first pop-up appears.
In the Pop-up duration field, enter how long each pop-up stays visible.
In the Interval between pop-ups field, enter the time between each subsequent pop-up.
Click Save.
To set the number of pop-ups per page:
Scroll down to the Display properties section.
Under Number of pop-ups per page, enter your desired number of reviews (maximum: 15).
Click Save.
To enable or disable the pop-up on smaller devices:
Scroll down to the Display properties section.
At the bottom of the section, enable or disable "Hide widget on mobile and tablet devices".
Click Save.
