I’m Nigerian and Was Asked to Upload the Back of My ID — What Should I Do?

If you’re Nigerian, you should only upload the front page of your ID. If the system asks for the back of your ID, simply upload the front page again. You didn’t do anything wrong. This can be confusing, so let’s clear it up.

Why This Happens

For Nigerian IDs (such as the NIN card, International Passport, or Driver’s License), Juicyway requires only the front page of the document.

Sometimes, during verification:

  • The system may automatically prompt for a “back” upload

  • This is a generic request and does not apply to Nigerian IDs

When the back of a Nigerian ID is uploaded, the verification may fail because:

  • The back page does not contain the required identity details

  • It does not meet verification standards for Nigerian documents

What You Should Do Instead

If you’re prompted to upload the back of your ID, follow these steps:

  1. Ignore the instruction to upload the back

  2. Re-upload the front page of your ID

  3. Make sure the image is:

    • Clear and well-lit

    • Not cropped

    • Not edited or a screenshot

    • Fully readable

That’s all. The system will review the correct page again.

Accepted IDs for Nigerians

You can upload the front page only of any of the following:

  • NIN Card

  • International Passport (bio-data page)

  • Driver’s License

No back-page upload is required for Nigerian IDs.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Uploading the back of the ID after a prompt

  • Uploading both front and back in one image

  • Uploading a screenshot or edited image

  • Uploading a blurry or cropped photo

Any of these can lead to repeated rejections.

Quick Tip

If you ever see an instruction that feels confusing or contradictory, it’s okay to pause and double-check. For Nigerian IDs, just remember this rule:

Front page only. If asked for the back, upload the front again.
