Introduction ๐
Your prompts are the directions that Juro's AI Assistant uses to understand the task you've set.
A good prompt is clear, concise and unambiguous. In this article, we'll take a look at how to draft an effective prompt that best enables the Assistant to provide the desired output.

Shaping your prompts ๐บ
As with any task, when expectations are well-defined and room for misunderstanding is reduced, good work thrives. This applies as much to AI-handled tasks as it does to the ones undertaken by humans.
Your prompts are the directions the AI Assistant uses to understand the task you've set and provide the desired output.
Below is some guidance to help you structure your prompts so the AI Assistant can produce the best results.
Think about language ๐ค
Fluffy language can confuse Large Language Models (LLM), and the quality of the AI's assistant will reflect the clarity of the guidance it's been given.
โ
Your prompts should set out what you'd like the Assistant to do against the guardrails established in your playbook. With that in mind, your instructions should be clear, concise and unambiguous.
For example, "Review this contract and flag any issues I should be aware of" could instead be "Review this contract, summarise its key points and their implications, and highlight any clauses or areas that deviate from the standard practices outlined in our playbook".
โ
The more specific the language, the better. With the correct context, Juro's AI Assistant is a powerful tool to help draft, review and summarise your contracts.
Context is key ๐ฉ๏ธ
Where it hasn't already been added to your playbook, you should provide the AI Assistant with any additional context as it applies to the request you're making.
โ
Your prompt could include any applicable case law, legislation or jurisdiction that the assistant should consider when generating its results.
For example, "Summarise the key points of this NDA" could be "Summarise the key points of this NDA and highlight any areas that do not comply with GDPR requirements or UK data protection legislation."
Additionally, prioritise prompts that remind the Assistant to consider legal ethical standards and best practices. This is particularly important in areas subject to regulation and oversight. For more information on using AI responsibly, you can read our dedicated article on this topic.
Embrace trial and error ๐
Your contract processes could benefit down the line from an initial testing phase where you can experiment with various iterations of requests.
As well as teaching the AI Assistant to generate more accurate results, this will -just as importantly- make it less prone to avoidable errors or producing inaccurate responses.
