Introduction πŸ‘‹

In today's fast-developing market, Legal teams need faster, smart and more scaleable ways to review contracts.

Enter Juro's AI Review: a dynamic tool that can automatically review your documents against a playbook and generate redlines.

Accessing AI Review πŸšͺ

To access AI Review, click AI Review in your homepage sidebar:

From here, you'll see two sections:

  • The Playbook hub: where you can upload and manage your playbooks

  • Review in Word: where you can run Juro's AI Review from the Word app on your desktop

These sections are explained in more detail below πŸ‘‡

Access to the AI Review is enabled by default for Organisation and Workspace Admins. To grant access to other users, an Org Admin must follow the steps below (also explained in this video):

  1. Click on the relevant Workspace in the Workspaces tab (found in your main Settings section).

  2. In the Settings page, open the Permissions tab.

  3. Click the permission dropdown for the relevant group, and switch on the AI review toggle: this enables this feature for that group in the selected workspace.

The Playbook hub πŸ›–

An AI Review playbook tells Juro's AI how to review contracts. It should include context, default positions and limits so that the redlines generated follow your company's rules.

Juro offers example NDA and SaaS Subscription Agreement playbooks that you can adapt to your company's requirements, or replace entirely. All playbooks can be managed from within the Playbook hub.

For more guidance on building and importing your AI playbooks, check out our dedicated article here.

Reviewing your contract in Word πŸ“ƒ

πŸ’‘ NOTE: You must install Juro's Word plug-in to use this feature.

To run AI Review in Word:

1. Open your DOCX file, open the Juro plug-in and sign in.

2. Upload the document into Juro (full steps for this flow are here), or if it already exists in Juro, upload a new version (full steps for this flow are here).

3. Open the AI Review tab and click Run AI review.

4. Juro will now review and return your document with suggested redlines where it identifies areas that do not comply with playbook guidance.

Understanding the Agent's results πŸ’

Once the review is complete, the Agent will generate one of two responses:

If the contract terms comply with your playbook, you'll receive:

  • A verified copy of your contract.

  • A message confirming compliance.

If changes are needed, you'll receive:

  • a redlined version of the contract showing suggested deletions and additions.

  • Explanations for each suggested change.

Working post-review πŸ”…

After reviewing this redlined version, you can:

  • Accept or reject redline suggestions

  • Add a comment explaining why redline was added

  • Download the reviewed document.

  • Start another review.

  • Send the redlined contract to a counterparty or internal stakeholders for review.

Some things to note πŸŒ…

  • Only DOCX documents are accepted for now.

  • Workspace Admins can see reviews for the whole workspace.

  • Workspace Users see only their own reviews.
