Because it's so easy to do and takes just a few clicks, 97% of our customers' counterparties sign contracts using Juro. But what about the other 3% who prefer to use a different platform, like Docusign?
Not a problem: our new Docusign integration lets you send contracts through that platform, reducing friction and increasing flexibility at one of the most important stages of the document lifecycle.
Connecting the integration ποΈ
π‘ NOTE: You must be a Juro Org Admin with a Docusign license to enable this integration. To start, please contact the Juro Support Team to enable the integration for your Juro environment from our side.
Once enabled, the integration will be activated for all workspaces. We recommend creating a separate account rather than linking it to an individual user's account.
This integration is not currently compatible with our Negotiations ("Create new versions") feature. Additionally, when a contract is sent for signing, the document body is locked from further edits until it's replaced by the fully signed PDF that is passed back from Docusign.
Once the enablement is complete and you're ready to connect your Juro and Docusign platforms:
1. In the Juro workspace where you'd like to connect the integration, open the Integrations portal in click the Docusign panel. |
|
2. Click Connect. this will prompt you to enter your Docusign login credentials.
You must connect the integration using a Business Pro Docusign account or above. The account should also be an organisation-level account rather than a personal one. (e.g. docusign-admin@juro.com rather than joebloggs@juro.com). |
|
Once you've logged in to Docusign and returned to this page, Juro will ask for permission to link with your Docusign account. |
3. Go to the relevant template in your Templates section. |
π‘ NOTE: Steps 4-6 will need to be actioned on each template individually. |
4. Open the Document members tab and toggle on the Enable signing in external platforms option. |
|
π‘ NOTE: All signing blocks will need to be in place on your template. These will then be overwritten by Docusign's signing blocks post-signature.β |
5. From the SIGNING SIDES SIGN IN dropdown menu, select one of the following options:
Docusign: all contracts created from this contract will be converted to PDF and sent for signing through Docusign.
Decide when signing: this option gives flexibility at the point of sending each contract for signature, so members can choose Juro or Docusign as the preferred signing method. |
|
6. From the SIGNATURE METHOD dropdown menu, select one of the following options:
Signature Type: This sets the signature type for all documents created from this template. Here, you can choose from the signature types your Docusign account can access, including standard signature types and any vendor signature methods you have available.
Decide when signing: Selecting this option at the template level will give the contract creator the option to choose the signature method before they send the contract for signing. |
|
Managing the contract lifecycle using the Docusign integration π
Users can send documents for signing with a Docusign standard signature workflow or a third-party provider via Docusign. Post-signature, the contract status will update in Juro, and fully signed PDFs will automatically be uploaded against the contract object in Juro.
Signatories will also receive a PDF copy of the fully signed document to their email inbox.
Sending a contract for signing π«
Does sending a contract for signing through Docusign look very different from sending it through Juro?
In short, not really, but there are a few things to bear in mind:
β
Customers will receive an email notification as normal, asking them to review the contract and add their signature. But instead of seeing the document in the Juro UI as usual, signatories will be directed to a PDF version of the contract in Docusign. The exact flow broken down further is:
1. Juro pushes PDF version of the contract to Docusign when you send your normal signing request. (Please note: Both sides must use the same e-signature method.) |
|
3. Once the document is fully executed:
|
|
External forms will not show before signing documents signed through the Docusign integration (see below for additional guidance on this).
Sending Forms to counterparties π€
When a contract is sent for signing through Docusign, the counterparty will not be directed through the Forms flow, as they would be with Juro's signing flow.
To collect information from your counterparty ahead of signing you can grant form access to non-signatories using the REVIEWERS link. To do this, in your contract:
1. In the Document members sidebar, open REVIEWERS, click Can view + and check the Form as [Counterparty] box. |
|
2. Under the SEND VIA EMAIL heading, click + Add reviewer and type the email address of the intended recipient. |
|
3. Click Prepare for review. |
|
On the next page, you can add a custom message before sending the contract to the recipient.
|
Signature block timestamps π
Timestamps from the Docusign e-signature will pass back with the fully signed PDF to your Juro document repository.
β
No action is required on the Juro side, but in Docusign:
You can adjust the date and time format and the timezone in the Signing Settings of the Docusign account that your integration is connected to (Current Date Format and Current Time Format)
You can adjust your timezone preference in the Regional Settings section of Account Settings.
