What does an External Form look like? π§
Juro forms have a straightforward questionnaire structure. Each signing side has its own dedicated Forms tab, so you can assign the smartfields that you'd like the counterparty to fill out to their specific Q&A flow, and vice versa for internal members.
β
The external form appears when the relevant stakeholder accesses the contract through their dedicated signature link (or via the REVIEWERS link). Questions for external users are created at the template level and are linked to your smartfields so that the answers appear where you need them on your contracts.
Setting up a form for an external user π¨
External Forms are broken out into three sections:
The Welcome Page β
The Welcome Page is an opportunity to put a friendly, professional face on your Juro contract. To turn on and customize your Welcome Page:
1. Unpublish your template, click the External Forms icon, and toggle on Display external guide. |
This also enables the Completion page. |
2. Click on the text bubble under the WELCOME PAGE heading. This opens the WELCOME PAGE sidebar, where you can upload your company logo, add a headline and description and set the button colour for your form.
The Questions Pageβ
On the QUESTIONS page, you can add questions for the counterparty and link them to the smartfields you'd like their answers to populate.
Here, you'll see two default questions ("Please confirm your name" and "What is your email address?"). The answers to these questions will be added to the counterparty's signing block. While they cannot be removed, you can edit the text of the questions as needed. To add a question:
2. In the new sidebar that opens, select the smartfield that you'd like to assign to the question. |
For questions related to essential information, we recommend making these 'required'. |
To reorder questions, hover your pointer over a question and click and hold on the 6 dots that appear. Drag the question to the desired place in the order. |
And that's your external form set up. Repeat the above process to add as many questions as you'd like to your external form.
The Completion Page π
On the COMPLETION PAGE, you can add a closing message, such as a thank you for completing the form, or additional guidance on the next steps. To do this:
Click on the text bubble under the COMPLETION PAGE heading and add your final message/guidance for the counterparty. |
Creating 'conditional' questions π
When one of the questions in your flow isn't needed, you can use the Rules function to add conditional logic to your questions. To do this:
1. Set up your question by following the steps outlined above.
To add a rule to a question, it must be followed by another question in the flow, so ensure this is also set up before beginning. When this is done, go to the relevant question and click + Add Rule. |
2. Choose to 'hide' or 'jump to' a question once the conditional logic is met, and select the question you'd like to 'hide' or 'jump to'. |
3. Set your rule triggers β for example: βJump to question 5 when question 4's input is βFixed. |
You can repeat this process for each question; just remember to have a question after the one you're applying a rule to so that you can either 'hide' or 'jump to' it.
Granting Form access to non-signatories π°οΈ
You can grant form access to non-signatories using the REVIEWERS link. To do this, in your contract:
1. In the Document members sidebar, open REVIEWERS, click Can view + and check the Form as [Counterparty] box. |
2. Under the SEND VIA EMAIL heading, click + Add reviewer and type the email address of the intended recipient. |
3. Click Prepare for review. |
On the next page, you can add a custom message before sending the contract to the recipient.
Your external form is now ready to go!
