Samsung Health does not connect directly to the Kaido platform. This is because Samsung Health are not currently accepting partner applications to their developer programme and as a result there is no way for our development team to build an integration with Kaido.

As a result we advise Samsung smartphone users to download the Free Google Fit application, and share their Samsung Health data with Google Fit, before connecting Google Fit to Kaido.

To connect your Samsung Health app to Kaido using Google Fit:

Samsung Health does not integrate directly with Google Fit, you must use a third party data aggregator app to achieve this. This is a decision that is out of our control.

The two apps we recommend are 'HealthSync' and 'FitnessSyncer'.

Health Sync is a paid for app ($2.99 one time purchase) and FitnessSyncer is free to use for up to 5 sources.

The example below uses the FitnessSyncer app, however there is a link to help you get setup using Health Sync at the bottom of this page.

Step 1: Connect your Samsung Health to 'FitnessSyncer' by following these steps:

a) Download the free FitnessSyncer app to your phone

b) Open the FitnessSyncer app and create an account

c) Navigate to the Samsung Health section by tapping on the Samsung Health icon

d) On the Sources and Destinations tab, select the types of data you wish to read or write from Samsung Health

e) Once the permissions are granted, you can then use the “Sync” button, synchronising your Samsung Health data with FitnessSyncer.

If you have any issues with this Step, this article may be helpful.

Step 2: Connect your Google Fit account to FitnessSyncer:

a) Download the free Google Fit app if you do not have it already and create an account

b) In the FitnessSyncer app, go to “Destinations” and add your Google Fit account to it. You may be asked for your Google Fit account credentials, email and password

Step 3: Connect your Google Fit account to Kaido:

Once your steps/ physical activity data is being shared from your Samsung Health app to your Google Fit app via the FitnessSyncer app, you should then connect your Google Fit app to Kaido. To do this:

a) From the Kaido app home screen, click 'Connect your activity tracker'

b) Select Google Fit from the available options

c) Enter your Google Fit account login credentials (email and password)

d) Select which information you wish to share with Kaido

e) Finish. Your Google Fit device is connected. You can disconnect your tracker at any time.

Success! You have now created a secure, one-time connection for the purpose of sharing data as part of the Challenge.

Please ensure that you agree to share all relevant steps/ activity data as part of the permissions as otherwise we risk not receiving your information.

You can learn how to share your Samsung Health data to Google Fit using the Health Sync app here.

For help and support with device integrations, please contact the Kaido team using the Intercom messenger in the app or by emailing support@kaido.org.
