This article explains how to troubleshoot your Kaido app in the event that your Google Fit account is not sharing data when you hit the 'sync' button on the Daily Log.

Please firstly ensure that the email and password you use to authenticate Google Fit is the email and password from your Google Fit app and not your Kaido email and password.

Following an update from Google at the start of February, it is now necessary to give Kaido permission to read your 'Google Fit Speed and Distance Data' and to 'Use Google Fit to see and store your physical activity data'. Without these two permissions Kaido will not receive any data from your connected Google Fit.

To troubleshoot:

1) Disconnect your Google Fit account from Kaido from the settings area of the app.

2) Re-connect your Google Fit, by selecting Google Fit from the options and entering your Google Fit account email and password. (Nb, please ensure you are using the email and password of a Google Fit account with activity data in it).

3) When prompted, ensure you give Kaido full access to your Google Fit account data, ticking all boxes as per the image below.

4) When you are happy that your preferences match the above image, press continue.

5) Your Google Fit should be successfully connected to Kaido.

6) To ensure your Google Fit account is sharing data with Kaido, navigate to the Daily Log and hit the 'sync' button. A success prompt should notify you that your data has been shared.
