Who can do this?
π€ This guide is for Teachers who use Schoology as their primary LMS.
π€ Some features of Kami may only be available in Schoology to users on a Kami paid plan.
Collaborative assignments can be created in Schoology using a Kami sharing link.
Creating an assignment using a Kami sharing link
To start creating a collaborative assignment in Schoology, you must have a Kami sharing link for your file. Learn more about how to create one, if you haven't already.
After you have the sharing link, navigate to the desired Schoology course, then select the Add Materials button at the top of the page.
β
From the dropdown menu, select Add File/Link/External Tool.
You will then be prompted to select between File, Link, or External Tool. Select the Link option.
In the Add Link window that opens, paste your Kami Sharing link and add a title to your assignment. Once finished, select Add.
Afterwards, your assignment will appear in the course as a link-based assignment for students to use.
Additional features on a collaborative document
Collaborators section
On a collaborative document, you and your students will have access to the Collaborators button (located next to the undo button at the top of the document).
β
When selected, this will open the Collaborators pane on the right, where you can see each collaborator listed, along with their current online/offline status.
All collaborators have the option to hide another user's annotations from their view by selecting the Hide button next to their name, or the Hide All button (located at the bottom of the Collaborators pane).
π Hiding another user's annotations will hide them only from your view; it will not remove their annotations from the document or hide them for any of the other collaborators.
Deleting student annotations (teachers only)
Teachers can remove student annotations by hovering over the annotation and selecting the delete button (trash can icon). A warning message will appear, prompting you to confirm that you would like to delete another user's annotation..
Students can see the name of the user who made an annotation when hovering over it, but cannot delete or edit it.
