Listing Price Change Alert

The Listing Price Change Alert provides near real-time notifications of any price changes from other sellers that are lower than your offer within the last 24 hours.

This alert helps you quickly identify:

  • When the price changed

  • What triggered the change

  • Which seller is currently holding the Featured Offer

This feature is powered by the Amazon Notifications API, ensuring near real-time accuracy by capturing price changes directly from Amazon’s own event stream.

How to Access

You can access Listing Price Change Alerts in two ways:

Option 1: Alerts Widget

  1. Navigate to the Alerts Widget

  2. Click Listing Price Change

You will be directed to the grid displaying active price changes.

Option 2: Listing Module

  1. Go to Listing Module

  2. Select Opportunities

  3. Locate the Listing Price Change grid

Offer Change Types

Each alert is categorized by an Offer Change Type. Understanding these categories helps determine the cause of the price change.

1. External

Triggered when a price change is made within your account in response to lower pricing found outside of Amazon.

When Amazon detects a lower off-Amazon price, a seller may lose the Featured Offer until their price is adjusted to match. If someone on the account updates the price to align with the external source, the system records this as an External price change.

In this case, the account has accepted and applied a price match due to off-Amazon pricing.

2. Internal

Triggered if the price of an offer on Amazon's retail website has changed.

This occurs when:

  • Another seller has an offer that is lower than yours

3. Featured Offer

Triggered when the Featured Offer (formerly known as the Buy Box) changes.

This occurs when:

  • The current Featured Offer seller changes their price

  • A different seller wins the Featured Offer

  • Amazon Retail becomes or stops being the Featured Offer seller

Data Available in the Grid

Each entry in the Listing Price Change grid includes:

  • Exact timestamp of the change

  • Offer Change Type

  • Seller ID (current Featured Offer winner)

  • Seller’s List Price

  • Fulfillment type (FBA or FBM)

  • Prime and/or National Prime status

For comparison, the grid also displays:

  • Your account’s List Price

  • If your offer is active

  • Your fulfillment method

This information allows you to quickly assess competitive positioning and determine whether action is required.
