Brand Dashboards

An overview of Brand Dashboards in Kapoq, including how to customize them, manage view-only access, and present performance to your brand partners

Written by Nadine Delaire

Brand Dashboards allow you to set and save specific metrics and widgets by brand, making it easy to screen share with brand partners, filter through related accounts, or take screenshots for presentations. Each brand has one shared view: any user with edit access can update it, and changes are saved for all users.

Getting Started

Navigate to Brand Dashboards in the left hand navigation bar to access Brand Dashboards. To switch between brands, click the Manage Brand Dashboards button at the top of the page and select a different brand.

How Brand Dashboards Work

The brand filter is locked. Within a Brand Dashboard, the brand cannot be changed. This is intentional: if you're screen sharing with a brand partner, there's no risk of accidentally deselecting a filter and exposing the other brands you have access to.

Related accounts are selectable. You will only see the accounts related to the selected brand. For multi-brand accounts, you can view all related accounts together or select and deselect them individually.

One view per brand. Brand Dashboard configurations are brand-specific, not user-specific. This keeps a single, consistent view for each brand rather than multiple competing versions. Any user with edit access can make changes, and those changes save for everyone.

Customizing a Brand Dashboard

Just like the Main Dashboard, you can:

  • Add or remove any of the available metric chips and widgets

  • Rearrange metric chips and widgets in any order

  • Set the Overview lookback period, which also saves to the dashboard

Brand Dashboards include the same metric chips and widgets available on the Main Dashboard.

You can also upload and crop a brand logo in Admin, which will display on the Brand Dashboard.

View-Only Access

If you've given a brand partner access to Kapoq and don't want them editing the dashboard, you can restrict specific users from editing Brand Dashboards.

Restricted users have view-only access: they can view the dashboard and adjust lookback periods, but cannot make any other changes.

To restrict a user:

  1. Go to the Brand Dashboard you are restricting

  2. Select the Gear Icon on the right hand side

  3. Select Manage Editors

  4. Add the restricted user

Restrictions can be set per brand dashboard.

Note: Interactive elements respect each user's module permissions. For example, clicking an alert on the Brand Dashboard will only navigate to that page if the user has access to it.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Browser tabs stay in sync. Kapoq keeps your brand and account filters in sync across open tabs. Opening a Brand Dashboard sets that brand as your active filter, so you cannot have one tab viewing one brand and another tab viewing a different brand at the same time.

  • Edit access is shared. Anyone with edit access can change the dashboard, and their changes save for all users viewing that brand.
