Why Can’t I Add My Karta Card to Apple Pay?

Learn how to troubleshoot common issues when adding your Karta card to Apple Pay.

If you're experiencing issues adding your Karta card to Apple Pay, don’t worry—there are a few common reasons why this might be happening. Here’s what to check first:

1. Region Restrictions

Apple Pay card setup is only available for users whose verification country is supported by Apple Pay. Your verification country is the country that issued the ID document you used during registration.

If the country you used during verification is not on Apple’s list, you won’t be able to add your card to Apple Pay.

Important: changing your iPhone region, Apple ID region, or device settings will not help in this case.

What you can do instead:

  • use Google Pay if you have an Android device;

  • order or pre-order a physical card if you need card payments.

2. Outdated Software

Using an older version of iOS or the Wallet app? That might be the issue. Head to your device settings and check for updates.

3. Apple Pay Setup Issues

Your Apple ID should be active, and there shouldn’t be any security-related restrictions on your account. Double-check your Apple ID settings to make sure everything is in order.
