🧩 Issue

πŸ› οΈ How to Fix It

Your verification country is not supported for Apple Pay. Message shown:
"Could Not Add Card

There was a problem adding your card to Wallet. You can try again later or if the problem persists, contact your card issuer.

Add Card Later"

Apple Pay is only available if the country used during verification supports Apple Pay. Please check Apple’s official supported countries list here: Apple Pay supported countries and regions.

If your verification country is not on the list, you won’t be able to add your card to Apple Pay. In this case, changing your Apple ID region or device settings will not help.

Available alternatives:

  • use Google Pay if you have an Android device;

  • pre-order a physical card if you need card payments

Message shown

"Cannot Add Cards

The region setting for this device cannot be used with Apple Pay."

Set your iPhone region to Puerto Rico:
Settings β†’ General β†’ Language & Region β†’ Region β†’ Puerto Rico

Message shown
β€‹β€œTo add cards, keys, tickets, and passes to Wallet, look for the Add to Wallet button in apps, emails, and websites.”

Message:
"Card Not Added – Contact your card issuer for more information"

This may indicate a temporary block from Apple due to security reasons of too many recent attempts. Wait 24–48 hours, then try again. If the issue persists, contact support.
