How do I remove hair dye and other chemical stains from salon and barber chair vinyl?

Our chairs stain-resistant, not stain proof.

There are many home solutions for stain removal in vinyl, and this may or may not work depending on how long the chair has been stained and the strength of the hair dye.

Your first step is to remove as much of the dye ASAP. The longer it sits, the more difficult it will be to remove later.

Try using Mothers Vinyl, Leather and Rubber Conditioner and Cleaner. It is a professional grade product that can remove stubborn stains and ground-in dirt. This product also conditions the fabric and helps preserve the longevity of the material.

Depending on the color of the fabric, you could try isopropyl alcohol or bleach. Please read the manufacturer's label instructions prior to using harsh chemicals. Make sure to test the solution on a small, inconspicuous piece first.

Just ordered your chair? Make sure to prevent stains before they happen.
