If you received an AVS Failure message while trying to place an order, don’t worry—it’s usually an easy fix!

What Is an AVS Failure?

AVS (Address Verification System) is a security feature used by banks to help prevent fraud. If your billing address doesn’t match the one on file with your card provider, your payment won’t go through.

How to Fix an AVS Failure

Double-check your billing address – Make sure it matches exactly as it appears on your bank statement.

Try adding the full ZIP code – Some banks require the 9-digit ZIP code (your standard 5-digit ZIP plus the extra 4 digits).

Use a different payment method – If your address is correct but the payment still isn’t going through, try another card or check with your bank.

Important: Pending Charges

If your payment attempt fails, you may see a pending transaction on your account. This is not a charge—it will drop off automatically. Unfortunately, banks determine how long this takes, but most remove pending transactions within a few business days.
