Demonstrate how to add/remove SMS/Email address from contacts.
- Adding Contacts
When on the portal go to the configuration tab on the drop-down menu and select SMS/ Email Contacts.
Select Manage List of Contacts.
To add a new contact to the alerts, click the person with the green plus sign display.
Then a box will pop up for you to add in the details.
Select the correct country code for the number being inputted and make sure to tick the box beside the mobile number and email address to active the contact.
You can also select the role of the contact to be the owner, manager, chef, contractor, maintenance or other.
You can now send a test alert to the number to see if the number receives it by dragging the contact from the top box to the bottom box and then clicking send test message.
If the contact does not receive the alert with in 10 minutes of the test alert being sent please contact support for assistance.
Once the contact has been successfully added it will appear under the list of contact's boxes.
You will now need to put the contact into the desired contact group boxes to receive the alerts.
You will go back to the main page of the SMS/Email Contact and select the desired group you wish to add the contact into. I.e., most sensors are programmed to contact group 1.
To add the contact now to group 1, select the edit box.
Drag the contact e.g., Test, down to the bottom box labeled “Contact Group 1” and save.
There is serval contact groups you will need to add a contact number too I.e., contact group 1, 7, 21, 25, 26.
- Deleting Contacts
To delete a contact from the alerts select manage list of contacts.
Select the red x displayed on the person beside the contact you wish to delete and select delete.
This will also remove the contact from any group they were previously in.
