Scan Assets: Verify an asset without a physical tag

How to verify untagged assets

  1. There are two statuses in the system to verify assets without a physical tag:

    1. Not Tagged: Asset CAN be physically tagged, but tag is missing.

    2. Untaggable: Asset should not be physically tagged and needs to be verified by another method.

      1. Common reasons for an asset to be deemed untaggable are the following:

        1. Tag could damage asset’s functionality.

        2. Asset is too small to receive a tag.

        3. Tag would not stay on asset due to conditions such as frequent washing, corrosion, vacuum, or heat.

      2. Both NOT TAGGED and UNTAGGABLE statuses require a picture of the asset for verification.

  2. Click on the downward arrow for any specific asset and click on the VERIFY button. Select appropriate option based on asset status:

  3. Select the building and room where the asset is located. This selection will be the location where the item will be listed. Click on CONTINUE button.

    1. *Always SEARCH for existing building and rooms first before adding them. Most locations will already be loaded in the system.

  4. Take photo of asset preferably displaying the serial number (if available):
