How to: Mark an asset as off-site

Verifying equipment that is off-site for various reasons

  1. From the Dashboard on your tablet or laptop, select the ADD STATUS button under the individual asset you wish to mark as off-site:

  2. Select the ‘Off Site’ STATUS DESCRIPTION:

  3. You can also make multiple off-site selections by clicking on the check-boxes on the left-hand side and selecting the MARK AS OFF-SITE option at the bottom of the screen:

  4. From the Dashboard on your mobile device, you would select the asset(s) via check-boxes on the left-hand side and click on the number at the top right-hand side to mark them as off-site:

  5. Select the appropriate additional information field based on off-site details related to the item. Click SAVE.

    1. Deployed for Research: Asset is currently being used in the field for research. Please specify location details.

    2. Being Repaired: Asset is temporarily off-site being repaired. Asset is expected to return.

    3. On Loan: Asset is temporarily on loan to another person in different institution. Asset is expected to return. Please do not use this option if asset is on loan to different department or person within the same institution. Please specify external institution and person’s name:

    4. Storage: Asset is temporarily housed in external storage space. Storage spaces are typically leased or in buildings external to the institution. Please do not use this option if asset is in a different institutional building.
