Stage 1: Double Materiality Assessment (DMA)
The Double Materiality Assessment is crucial to identify risks, impacts, and opportunities linked to your organisation. Here’s how to get started:
Access the CSRD Tool: Navigate to the CSRD section from the left-hand menu.
Explore Resources: Before diving in, take advantage of the guides, webinars, articles, and PDF resources available on the homepage to ensure you're well-prepared.
Topic Launchpad: Use tools like the SASB Materiality Matrix to determine the relevance of specific topics based on your sector (e.g., agricultural products). This helps pinpoint what is material for your organisation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Add and manage stakeholder groups by providing details such as engagement methods, key topics, and supporting documentation like survey results or meeting minutes.
Materiality Matrix and Scoring: Assess each disclosure's financial and impact materiality. Use a scoring mechanism to evaluate risks, opportunities, and the significance of each topic. Decide if the topic is material and justify your decisions with clear explanations.
Stage 2: Data Collection
Once the DMA is complete, move on to collecting data for your material disclosures:
Set Up Disclosure Requirements: Select the ESRS subtopics that are material to your organisation. Subtopics and their sub-components are listed clearly for you to toggle on or off.
Populate Data: Transfer data from your DMA directly into the platform or input them manually. This ensures consistency and accuracy in your reporting.
Start Data Collection: Click on each material disclosure to provide answers to the required questions. Add text, select from drop-down menus, and attach relevant files or notes as needed.
Submit Your Data: After completing each section, ensure all responses are saved and submitted to finalise the collection process.
