Basic idea and scope of functions

Keyline is the data backbone of your printshop. Alongside traditional cost calculation, Keyline takes care of product planning and control as well as warehouse and material management, purchasing and invoicing.

At its heart is process-based costing. The entire production workflow, including material and processing costs, is calculated during the quotation phase.

As soon as a product is sent into production, Keyline includes it in automatic production planning. You can view the individual machines (production resources) and production tasks at any time, so you know exactly where each product is in the process.

The integrated purchasing system automatically handles orders or books available material directly out of the warehouse.

With warehouse and material management, you can book materials into stock directly on the iPad at goods receipt. You can see all bookings and material movements live and respond as needed.

During production, your employees record times, material consumption and waste directly in the Keyline iPad app, which synchronises this data live with the Keyline backend.

Once a product has completed production, you can use the recorded times and materials to carry out post-calculation and issue and send the invoice directly from Keyline. Our CSV export lets you export the invoice data and import it into your accounting software.

Keyline gives you a tool that supports you from the quotation phase through to invoicing. With automatic production planning, you get a clear, constantly updated view of your products in production.

The extensively documented API lets you integrate additional external systems at any time. You can also use our ready-made applications, such as Shipcloud or Dropbox. Many customers use Make.com to digitise processes easily.
