DKIM entry in your DNS server

Keyline sends e-mails directly from the system.
So if you write an offer, send an order confirmation, write an invoice or an materialorder is generated. Keyline will do this via an "robot@keyline-mis.de" address, but under the name of the customer consultant. When customers reply to this email, Keyline automatically forwards the email to the correct contact person.

If customers copy and paste the email address manually instead of simply clicking "Reply" in their email program, the email will not be sent to you, but to us. To avoid this and to assign the e-mail addresses correctly to your own domain, a small DKIM entry in the DNS database of your e-mail provider is necessary. This ensures that Keyline has permission to send email addresses on your behalf.

What is a DKIM entry?
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is a method of e-mail authentication. DKIM adds a signature to your mails which is assigned to your domain and is used for all outgoing mails. Using a DomainKey is a technique (similar to SPF) to make it difficult to forge the sender of an e-mail.

When an email has been sent, DKIM adds a so-called DKIM signature to the header of the email. When the email is received, the receiving server queries the public key published in the DNS zone of the domain via TXT Resource Record. This key is used to check whether the signature is correct. The aim of this procedure is to make it more difficult for spammers and phishers to carry out their criminal activities.
