If the sequence of production tasks is not arranged as desired, be sure to check the “produced good” and the “required input goods” in the production task concerned and in the following production task.
Only when these are properly linked can Keyline represent the production flow correctly and in the desired sequence.
If you are sure that all settings are correct, we recommend duplicating the entire order.
Keyline then generates all production tasks again based on the current settings — so you can be sure that no old configurations or outdated production paths are being used. All material references, specifications and calculated sequences are also generated afresh.
If you have different production routes — for example:
Variant 1:
Printing
Laminating
Cutting
Variant 2:
Printing
Cutting
Laminating
You need to create the “Laminating” production task twice:
Once as standard laminating, which expects printed sheets as its input material.
And once as Laminating (component), which expects sheets that have already been cut — in other words, components.
Important:
Manually moving production tasks or changing their sequence in the production flow is not possible.
Keyline always creates the production path automatically based on the material flows and the configured input and output goods.
If the production path is not represented correctly, this is almost always due to missing or incorrectly defined material links between production tasks. A correct material flow is the prerequisite for precise automatic planning.
