Benefits and use of post-calculation

Invoicing with post-calculation

Written by Matthias Prinz

In Keyline, every order is post-calculated before the invoice is created. You can do this separately under Accounting/Post-calculation or directly when invoicing under Accounting/Billing.

Post-calculation shows you the planned and actual time for each production task, as well as material consumption and shipping costs where these were calculated. Hover over the times for a production task to see who worked on that task.

If your outsourcing or shipping costs differ from the original calculation, you can adjust them before the final invoice is issued.

You can then decide whether to invoice the order as quoted (“Calculate with planned unit price”) or individually (“Set sales price individually”).

Once an order is complete, you can view its post-calculation for a reprint by clicking the product and opening “Duration and costs”. This lets you make any adjustments needed for the new print run.
