The unique designation of the means of production is defined by the category and assigned to the type of means of production (e.g. offset printer, digital printer, cutting machine, etc.).

The hourly rate of the means of production is specified under Costs per hour.

The creation and designation of the production warehouse belonging to the production equipment is carried out automatically on the basis of the designation. This can then be used for stock postings and is also available under Warehouse/storage area.

If several production locations have been created in Settings/Facilities, these can be assigned to the means of production here.

Only for presses in the offset printer category is the arrangement of inking units, coating units and the perfecting device defined under General. This configuration later influences the variable "Number of printing cycles" in the calculation.

The gripper defines the height and position of the gripper edge. The option "Requires opposite gripper edge when printing on both sides" also represents the opposite gripper edge at the time of printing (in the case of the Perfecting, Work & Turn) type of printing.

Restrictions you can optionally specify minimum and maximum values for grammages and formats. This function is currently only available for printing presses. If the print sheet format does not fit on the selected machine, Keyline will report this to you in the calculation.
