How do you use the product templates most effectively?

Product templates can be managed in the admin area under Templates/Products.
Keyline provides some standard products.

However, it is recommended that you compile your own products/templates and then use them.

Only the "basic products" should be deposited as a template.
Otherwise one has fast many templates in the system, which are either no longer used at all, or are no longer current. 

You can also assign the category here, so that you can filter the evaluation according to product categories, for example, in the dashboard.

For repeated orders it is recommended to duplicate the last order. This way you can be sure to produce the latest version (correct material, edition, price, etc.).

If you have created a product using the normal calculation method, you can duplicate this product, or save it as a template.
In this way, a product can quickly be stored as a template based on practical experience.

Here you can also define a certain means of production or prevent the creation of a work process.

Templates are not updated automatically! 

If you have selected a product from a template for a calculation and notice that you have changed something, you can also save the product directly as a template.
(To do this, click on the 3 points (...) on the right on the order level and save "as template".

Please delete old or no longer needed templates immediately.
This is the only way you can be sure that you or your colleagues are going to release the latest version.
