Define a required raw material only if the production task needs raw materials such as paper or ink, or finishing materials such as filing mechanisms or adhesive pockets.
Once a raw material has been created, configure it as follows:
Under Material category, assign the relevant category. You can choose this freely. Existing categories are suggested automatically as soon as you start typing in the field.
The option Material may be omitted specifies that the raw material is not essential for carrying out the production task.
To optimise automatic production planning, use the option Group production tasks using this material during production where possible.
With Select material automatically, the material is suggested automatically based on the preselection in the calculation description. This applies only to paper and ink.
Which source should be used to select the material automatically is shown only if Select material automatically has been enabled. You can then choose between paper and ink.
If you want to use only the material consumption from the calculation, without the employee entering actual consumption on the iPad, select Set consumed material quantity automatically. This can be useful for ink or glue, for example.
The formula is used to calculate the material quantity; the unit defines the material unit.
