Keyline lets you block products from individual production steps or machines based on their dimensions, specifications, other product properties or variables. For example, this can prevent a calculation from being released to production or display a specific error message.
The variable:
TRIP (Error description, Error severity)
• Triggers an error that Keyline logs and that can make the calculation invalid.
• Return value: boolean
• Error description: string
→ A short text describing the type of error
• Error severity: string (optional)
→ Indicates the severity of the error: "warning" (default) or "error"
Example:
Keyline should display an error message if the number of creasing lines exceeds 5.
If the value is higher, Keyline displays the following error message.
If you only want to display a warning, simply replace “error” with “warning” to get a yellow notification.
The product can still be released to production.
You can also easily add the formula to the fields for separate costs.
The advantage is that the formulas for processing times stay easier to read.
