Semi-automatic production planning

Written by Patric

You can move scheduled production tasks as you wish using drag & drop.

Should the production task originally scheduled for 10:00 start at 13:00 instead?

No problem: Simply move it using drag & drop — the next planning run will keep this manually adjusted time and it will not be overwritten automatically.

You can decide how often automatic planning should run:

  • every 15 minutes

  • every 30 minutes

  • every 60 minutes

  • or exclusively manually, by starting planning yourself when needed.

⚠️ Please note:

Only scheduled products appear automatically in the production view on the iPad.

If you open a product directly — for example, using its product number or QR code — you can of course view all tasks and information about the product at any time, regardless of whether it has officially been scheduled yet.

A production task can also be locked without having to move it.

Locked production tasks do not change position and stay in place until they are either moved manually or the scheduled time is reached and the task then continues automatically.

This lets you fix important production tasks in place and prevent automatic planning from moving them unexpectedly.

When you click a production task, its details now appear directly below it in a split-screen view.

There, you can also display all production tasks that have the same colours, number of pages, printing process, grammage, etc. with just one click.

This makes planning much easier, as you can immediately spot similar orders, work on them together or group them deliberately.

Click the cogwheel on the production board to show or hide machines from your machine park.

You can also move the machines freely to arrange your production planning view to suit your needs.
