We guarantee buyers get a clear title and sellers get paid, even when a vehicle is shipped. If the seller has their title, we'll ask them to mail it to KeySavvy after we've verified the buyer's payment and everyone has signed the bill of sale.
How do you know when a vehicle is picked up?
The seller will upload a picture of the bill of lading, which is a receipt that the vehicle transporter will provide at pickup. We review the bill of lading to confirm that the vehicle was picked up.
When do sellers get paid?
We initiate the seller's payout when the vehicle is loaded onto the trailer and we've received the title. Sellers often want to send their title to KeySavvy in advance so that we can initiate their payout immediately when the vehicle is picked up. When we receive the seller's title, we'll verify it was signed correctly and work with the seller to correct any mistakes.
What if the seller has a loan?
If the seller has a loan and doesn't have their title, we'll initiate their equity payout and a payment to their lienholder when the vehicle is picked up. Sellers will still upload a bill of lading to confirm when the vehicle is picked up.
When should buyers arrange shipping?
The buyer and seller will receive an email when we approve transfer, indicating it's OK to arrange shipping. We approve transfer after verifying the buyer's payment and both parties have e-signed the bill of sale. We don't have to have received the title when the vehicle is picked up, but some sellers ask their buyer to wait until we've received it before arranging shipping.
