Kickbooster uses a dual-tracking system to monitor clicks and pledges made through your Booster's referral links throughout the duration of your campaign.

We use a combination of Google Analytics and collaborator access to your project to create a referral tag for each booster to monitor pledges and pledge cancellations throughout the campaign.

Once your campaign ends, we complete a validation sync on all referred pledges tracked through Google Analytics and remove any fees associated with any detected failed payment and/or cancelled pledges.

With that said, there are instances where due to browser limitations, ad blockers, and other scenarios where we lose some visibility into the pledge. So at the end of the campaign, we will do a final check on the referral data displayed on your Kickstarter/Indiegogo tags dashboard and will use that final amount, minus any unsuccessful pledges detected from the Google Analytics validation sync to issue your affiliate fees invoice.

How to add Kickbooster as a collaborator

After connecting your Google Analytics 4 tracking ID in your settings page, the next step is inviting Kickbooster as a collaborator to your project.

1.) The 1st step is clicking on the invite button, which will redirect you to Kickstarter or Indiegogo to send the invitation.

Here's more information on adding Kickbooster as a collaborator on Kickstarter and on Indiegogo.

2.) After you send the invitation, the last step is clicking on the confirm button to confirm that Kickbooster has received the collaborator invitation.

3.) Once Step 1 and 2 are completed, you will see "Collaborator Invite Received" which means that Kickbooster has the correct access to your campaign to complete a validation sync at the end of your campaign (if successfully funded).

Important Reminders

  1. If Kickbooster is removed as a collaborator from your campaign, we will not be able to validate the pledges tracked through Google Analytics.

    • If access is not granted, Kickbooster will proceed with issuing your affiliate fees invoice for commissions on all referrals tracked regardless of whether the pledges were successful or not.

  2. Your affiliate fees invoice is based on the one time sync we run at the end of your campaign. If a payment fails at the first attempt, commissions will become void even if the payment is collected at a later date.
