Integrating Kickbooster with your Kickstarter campaign is an essential step to maximize your referral program’s efficiency and accuracy. By adding Kickbooster as a collaborator, you benefit from enhanced tracking and reporting through Kickstarter’s built-in referrer system.
How It Works
Access to Backing Activity
Accurate Tracking: Kickbooster leverages Kickstarter's referrer system to assign a unique referrer ID to every affiliate who joins your program. This setup enables precise tracking and accurate recording of all referral activity.
Scheduled Monitoring: Every four hours, we review updates to your affiliates' referrer IDs on Kickstarter and refresh both your dashboard and your affiliates' dashboards with the latest changes and corresponding commission earnings.
Access to Backer Report
Pledge Validation: As a collaborator, Kickbooster requires access to your Kickstarter backer report in order to validate affiliate referrals at the end of your campaign, prior to issuing your affiliate fees.
Commission Accuracy: By cross-referencing the backer report with referral data, Kickbooster can identify and remove commissions and fees for dropped pledges. This ensures that you only pay commissions and fees on valid, successful pledges.
How To Add Kickbooster as a Collaborator
Invite collaborator@kickbooster.me to your Kickstarter campaign. Click here for step-by-step instructions on adding a collaborator.
After inviting Kickbooster as a collaborator on Kickstarter, log into your Kickbooster account to confirm that this step has been completed.
Go to Program settings
then to Add Kickbooster as a collaborator step
'Add now' will redirect you to Kickstarter to invite collaborator@kickbooster.me as a collaborator if you haven't already done so
Once you've invited Kickbooster, click 'Confirm'
Note: If you've invited Kickbooster as a collaborator and are getting an error when trying to confirm the invitation, ensure the correct permissions are given. We require access to backing activity and your backer report. We DO NOT require Editor access to your campaign.
