Integrating Kickbooster with your Kickstarter campaign is an essential step to maximize your referral program’s efficiency and accuracy. By adding Kickbooster as a collaborator, you benefit from enhanced tracking and reporting through Kickstarter’s built-in referrer system.
How It Works
Backing Activity & Analytics Access
Referral Tracking: Kickbooster uses Kickstarter’s referrer system to assign a unique referrer ID to each affiliate in your program. To properly track and attribute affiliate-generated pledges, we require both Backing Activity and Analytics collaborator permissions. These permissions allow us to access referral tag performance data and monitor affiliate activity within Kickstarter.
Scheduled Monitoring: Every four hours, we sync referral data from Kickstarter and update both your dashboard and your affiliates’ dashboards with the latest pledges and commission earnings.
Backer Report Access
Pledge Validation: At the end of your campaign, we use your Kickstarter backer report to validate affiliate referrals before issuing affiliate fees.
Commission Accuracy: By cross-referencing referral data with the backer report, we remove commissions for dropped pledges — ensuring you only pay commissions and fees on successful pledges.
How To Add Kickbooster as a Collaborator
Invite collaborator@kickbooster.me to your Kickstarter campaign. Click here for step-by-step instructions on adding a collaborator.
After inviting Kickbooster as a collaborator on Kickstarter, log into your Kickbooster account to confirm that this step has been completed.
Go to Program settings
then to Add Kickbooster as a collaborator step
'Add now' will redirect you to Kickstarter to invite collaborator@kickbooster.me as a collaborator if you haven't already done so
Once you've invited Kickbooster, click 'Confirm'
Note: If you've invited Kickbooster as a collaborator and are getting an error when trying to confirm the invitation, ensure the correct permissions are given. We require access to backing activity, backer report, and analytics. We DO NOT require Editor access to your campaign.
