Learn how to clear up multiple children or a child's details in DigiDocs

While creating a draft document, if you can see inaccuracies or multiples of a child, you can clear these children up via the Recipients section of DigiDocs.

Reasons could be;

From the left-hand menu, under Management select Recipients.

Click the Edit button for the Recipient, to access their profile.

Multiples of the same child

If the child has no Active documents.

Simply click the X and delete the child. This child will no longer show in the child selector list when creating documents or on the Recipient account.

If there are Active documents.

As long as the name and DoB of the child are identical, this is not a problem, simply complete the documents before deleting the duplicate child.

Child has the incorrect date of birth

Regardless of whether the child has active documents or not, you can correct the child's date of birth by clicking on the Edit button.

Changing a child's date of birth, will update all active documents with the correct DoB and return them to a yellow status of Unverified.

The parent will be asked to verify the child upon next opening a related active document, or by going to the Children section in their DigiDocs account.

Child's name is misspelt

As above, simply click on the Edit button and correct the child's name.

Correcting a child's name will update all active documents but not affect their status.

Note: No completed documents for a child are affected by these changes.
