People by Wagepoint's calendar is a great way to keep the team connected. It's accessible to all users and can be customized to display particular events. You can create multiple subscription feeds to connect your People by Wagepoint calendar to your Google, Apple, or Outlook calendars.

Types of Events

Public events on the calendar are visible to all active employees and include:

  • All approved time off

  • Employee milestones (anniversaries, birthdays, and new hire first days)

  • Company holidays

  • Company events (depending on settings)

Private events on the calendar can only be seen by an employee, Manager, and HR Manager. These events include:

  • Pending time off

  • Scheduled employee reviews

  • Company events (depending on settings)

Calendar Filtering

You can filter your People by Wagepoint calendar based on an event category (time off, company holidays, etc.), locations and work groups created in your account.

You can also filter by "only people I manage" which will show you your team, and create a link to subscribe to your team only.

If you subscribe to your People by Wagepoint calendar with Google or your other calendar apps, your People by Wagepoint calendar subscription URL will automatically regenerate based on how you filter your calendar in People by Wagepoint.

Subscribe to Calendar

To setup your calendar subscription, click "Subscribe" from within your People by Wagepoint calendar. You'll be provided with a unique URL (based on your filters) to setup the feed on your Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar. Alternatively, you can download an ICS file for a point-in-time calendar snapshot. This format, however, does not sync.

Unsure on how to setup your calendar subscription? Below are step-by-step instructions for you.

Apple Calendar

Steps to subscribe:

  1. Copy your webcal:// URL from People by Wagepoint (at the top left of the Calendar, click “Subscribe”)

  2. In Apple Calendar, click File, and select “New Calendar Subscription.” Paste in your webcal URL from step one when prompted

  3. Choose any configuration information when prompted, such as iCloud sync and refresh interval

Google Calendar

Steps to subscribe:

  1. Copy your webcal:// URL from People by Wagepoint (at the top right of the Calendar, click “Subscribe”)

  2. In Google Calendar, click the arrow next to “Other Calendars” in the left-hand column of the page. Select “Add by URL” and paste in your webcal URL when prompted

Note: Google appears to refresh automatically every 24 hours. To the best of our knowledge, there is no way to increase the frequency of refreshes. Patience, friends, patience.

Outlook (Office365 / Outlook Web App)

Steps to subscribe:

  1. Copy your webcal:// URL from People by Wagepoint (at the top right of the Calendar, click “Subscribe”)

  2. Sign in to Office365 or Outlook Web App and select Calendar

  3. Right-click in the navigation pane where you see Other calendars. Or, touch and hold if you're using a touch device. Select Open calendar

4. Enter your People by Wagepoint URL of the calendar you want to add in the Internet calendar box, and then select Open

The calendar will automatically be added to your calendar view. In a few minutes, you'll be able to see all of the appointments in the calendar.

Subscription tips:
If your calendar doesn't seem to be syncing with People by Wagepoint, here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Typically, the calendar will sync once per day. This is a setting within your Outlook or Google calendar, and is not controlled through People by Wagepoint.
2. If you're still having trouble syncing events, remove the calendar subscription from your Outlook or Google calendar, and re-subscribe following the instructions above.
3. Remember that if you subscribe to a filtered view of your People by Wagepoint calendar, then only those events will show on your Outlook or Google calendar.
